67 Blankets
For Mandela Day we decided to get knitting and do some squares to make a blanket. Well, we never stopped and to date have completed and handed over 9 blankets to the 67 Blankets (https://67blankets.co.za/) with 1 in progress as well as contributing to the South African flag blanket for Heritage month and Breast cancer awareness blanket for October. That is more than 1 blanket a month which was our goal when the staff decided they were keen to keep going. So if you spot us knitting, that's what we are up to.
Staff Upliftment
We want our employees to succeed, not only with us but anywhere they may choose to go in the future. That is why training and upliftment are par for the course. We have promoted from within for all our vacancies in the past few months and have sent 8 staff members on the Truth coffee training course. One of our junior chefs is on her professional cookery course so she can be officially qualified as a chef, so watch this space!
